Opening statements in second WTC trial

The second WTC trial began with opening statements today in federal court.† Larry Silverstein is trying for a second time to have a jury rule that the WTC attack was two separate incidents.† The first trial concluded with the attack being defined as one event. [Full Story]†

Twin Towers fell due to impact not design flaw.

The National Institute of Standards and Technology conducted a study to discover the reason why the Twin Towers fell.† The report concluded that the reason the Towers fell had to do with the damage caused by the impact of the planes and not due to a design flaw. [Full Story]

Larry Silverstein's second attempt to increase his insurance payout began in court today as the jury selection process got under way.† Silverstein is attempting to define the Twin Towers attack on September 11th as two events rather than the one which the jury in the first trial concluded.† This trial is supposed to reveal more about what actually happened on September 11th.
